After finishing training, DarkZero earned the rank of First Lieutenant in the USL Explores Mercenary Auxiliaries. Instead of heading back to the Outer Sphere to join the verse by the Clone Warranty network and an iron spike to the head, he’s earned enough rank to bring his android, loot, and ship back with him. While that’s great news, it can only be accomplished by successfully completing his three-mission operation without dying.

While he’s dealing with that mess, DarkZero has also made himself a number of enemies during his training. Between the crazy intelligence agent who’s blackmailing him with the threat of bloody murder and the criminal underworld who are looking to get their payback for all of the hitmen he’s slaughtered, it’s going to be a toss-up as to who’s going to kill him first.

Will DarkZero make it to Athen’s Station, or will he be forced back to Vanquisher Base without his loot, android, or ship and be stuck with the heading back via the Clone Warranty network? If that happens, he’ll lose everything but the credits in his account and the items saved in his CCM Implant.

If that isn’t annoying enough, DarkZero still doesn’t know if V-COM Interactive is going to honor the agreement for his Kickstarter rewards. Even if it does work out, his new start would be all that much sweeter if he could keep his high-end loot from the training planet.

Mein zweiter Tag auf der Mani-Station führt mich zurück hinaus ins All. Zunächst geht es für einen kurzen Abstecher nach Terminus, bevor ich einen einfachen Reparatureinsatz an einem Kommunikationssatelliten übernehme. Wie schwer kann das schon sein?

Verflucht schwer, wenn die diensthabende Stationskommandantin dich auf den Tod nicht ausstehen kann und von Anfang an versucht, deine Mission zu sabotieren.

Und als wäre das noch nicht schlimm genug, muss ich feststellen, dass die neue Truppe von Auftragskillern, die Jagd auf uns macht, über ein eigenes Schiff verfügt! Ach ja, und dann wären da noch die Death Dealer-Piraten, die wir eigentlich zur Strecke bringen sollen, ganz zu schweigen von ihrer versteckten Asteroidenbasis. Das kann ja unmöglich schiefgehen, oder?

Once again, the Amazon Employee who's teamed up with the authors who hate me strikes again ...

My apologies for any confusion, but the new ebook was placed under another author's name and series. That is quite odd, because the ebook is the one to which this always happens, and the paperback book that was published at the same time wasn't fine.

Sadly, this is the third or fourth time a new ebook has been "randomly screwed up on release." I've been targeted by this guy who works out of the UK Office from day one. Usually, it's just bad reviews that are one-word attacks that, even if they are against Amazon's rules for reviews, he has the power to stop them from being removed by other Amazon departments in other regions.

Maybe I'm being paranoid, but when you know you have certain people who are looking to grief you, it's hard not to just blame weird stuff on them. There is no reason for my ebook release to go under another author and their random series while the follow-up and linked paperback book were fine.

When I called on Wednesday, Amazon said everything was fine. I was informed by you guys that the book was listed under another author's name. I was able to get this problem identified on Friday.

During my call this morning, I was informed that the book was now placed under my author bookshelf. With the representative's help, the blocked book was able to be republished. Why was the book blocked? Probably the PITA who's been griefing me.

Hopefully, everything has now been resolved, and the new ebook will be available within a few hours to no more than seventy-two hours.

A German fan and friend of mine named Butch started doing artwork for the series. We spent some time talking, and he showed me how I could start creating artwork for the series and maybe make a graphic novel, so that really motivated me to spend some time on making this possible.

So far, I've been really excited about the artwork that I've been producing. Most of the work right now is creating each character in the series. And for fans, you know I have a lot of them. That said, I'm getting closer and closer to being able to start on book 1. I decided to post one of the pictures that I made up on Facebook and www.Thecheekyfellow.com so fans could check it out.

Here are the details for the story:

The funny thing about secret missions is that there's no clear-cut way to complete them. That is on DarkZero's mind when he leaves his temporary quarters on the last day of Mani Station. The other sad truth is that he's not going to be able to hold his promise to keep Dispatcher Jennings and his children safe. Not liking that one bit, Zero comes up with a way to make everything good. You know, as long as he doesn't get arrested for destroying a part of the station.

After that last fiasco, DarkZero barely makes it in time for his last training mission. Thankfully, it's a simple milk run to Vanquisher Base. How hard can that be after everything he's faced up until now? It should be an easy feather in his high-octane, successful cap. Also, after a quick talk with his guildmates that morning, he learns that he's basically on what's called a Mercenary Auxiliary track.

As DarkZero's luck would have it, the milk run turns out to be a bit more complicated. Captain Stick shows up unexpectedly to get revenge on our valiant hero, and the Bone Breaker proves he's not yet out of the fight. Sadly, it seems that everyone who hates him is set on chasing him out of the system.

It's going to take a lot of quick talking and good flying to save his ass. If he does it right, he'll earn a nice reward for himself and his guild at the end. If he doesn't, he could possibly lose everything he's earned up until now throughout the entire training mission.​

While Startum Ironwolf has discovered an amazing technology for his people, it is nearly useless without a way to stop his enemies from using it to invade his home. There might be a way to solve the problem, but he needs to figure out if the fix will work before it's too late. If he can't, the planned invasion will need to be put on hold, and additional forces will need to be set aside to repel possible future invasions. 

If that isn't enough of a problem, Startum is also dealing with the Centaur Tribes' anger at having lost their young Chieftain. With Fylreh's help, he might have a way to quell their anger. Unfortunately, he's beginning to question if the fix isn't worse. 

Lastly, Startum's plan to have Tyhra take over the Delonshire Thieves Guild isn't going as planned. Numerous PKers have been moving into Delonshire, and the Captain of the Guard is worried that their town might be coming under attack by newfars, once again. Tyhra has to come up with a way to deal with the racist Light Elf or cause a whole new series of problems for her and her new alliance partners.
