AMAZON RETRACTS THE BLOCK AND DENIES THE ACCUSATIONS OF PLAGIARISM

The book is now officially copyrighted, which means it has gone through the United States Government's checks. Also, Amazon did there checks and confirmed that the book was not plagiarized either. Not to mention the apology email I received above.

I want to thank all of the fans of my work for the positive reviews, Facebook comments and blog comments stating that they didn't see the plagiarism and that the similarities weren't anything other than writing in a specific genre.

I'm sure the hate coming from the LitRPGPodcast guy, his group of Indy Author Killers, and Luke Chmilenko won't stop, but by now that's par for the course. Simply reading book one will prove the accusations wrong. It still sucks that they can do something like that without evidence. Just a group of friends complaining against an new Indie Author that they want to shut down. Luckily, justice was served.

Thank you for all of those who addressed the issue directly and spoke the simple truth with eyes unclouded by hate or greed. I redid this post to add in information like my official copyright received and stuff.

Felt the need to re-post this with some updates. The original post was just as I was getting ready to give my book away for free and the link to the post states that instead of what the topic is really about. That Amazon reinstated my book and apologized.

The newest fun is here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-reviews/R2FPNZHXQ8JC3M/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_rvw_ttl?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B07H35XRLZ

Hopefully, Amazon will pull this like the rest.

Hey Nick, thanks for the support. Yeah, the whole thing was pretty crazy but what surprises everyone the most is that the LitRPGPodcast guy and his group of buddies does this to every new indie author in LitRPG & GameLIT that releases a book and is not a part of there group. My goal is to get this information about their activities out. Bashing other authors to make your book look better is ridiculous.

Book Three's audio book should be being finished up by around the 20th of this month. Due to the time it takes for audible to put everything together, it won't be posted and made available until another almost sixteen days. So probably the end of the first week in May.

Book 4 will take a little longer, since I couldn't get on Jason Hill's schedule before he had another job, but he'll be doing Helping a Friend as his next book. Book four is huge and will be an immense audio book. The page count is in the 779 pages range. Also, the character sheet is only listed once.

My plan for book 5 and beyond is only posting the complete character sheet at the beginning and the end of the books. Changes that are implemented will only be shown in the middle of the book, instead of pages and pages of character sheets repeated throughout the story.

Anyway, I hope this helps.

Jason
PS: If you get a chance, please leave a review for the books. It helps fight those trolling authors a lot!

Any further updates on Book Three Audible publication date? Just finished listening to prior two (gym and driving time). Great work: Much more entertaining and well-constructed than most other books in the category

Book 3 should be showing up any day. It's been handed over to audible and will show up whenever they finish processing it.

Thanks for the kudos. I try to paint a world in my mind's eye with a realistic perspective of how a magical/medieval world might be. Sometimes I look at the story and think, wow that's brutal. At the same time, I'm like, what else would such a world be? Definitely not unicorns and rainbows ... unless the unicorns skewered people on their horns and tossed their corpses over their shoulders to protect their herds ;)

I thoroughly enjoyed the first 2. I cant wait for the third. I do think you may want to do a bit more typo editing prior to release. While they take nothing from the story, it just seems incredibly unprofessional to see multiple errors on what seemed to be every few pages or so. Really, have someone spend a few hours with a quick read before a final copy. Again, the story is awesome but i just cant help noticing them. It's like seeing a brand new Ferrari with a crushed side. People see it and think "wow aewsome... ohhh that's too bad", even though other than the dent, its perfectly fine. Just my thoughts, apologies if it is something you arent concerned with or think is minor. Regardless, I'll be getting the next as soon as I notice it's available. Thanks for writing :)

Hey David,

I guess that's the thing. I'm an indie author. Except for my weak attempts, all of the editing is fan based. Even after multiple eyes has gone through the stories, there is stuff that are missed. Some of the fans helping out are quite expert at finding and identifying errors. Then, a new person comes along and finds a slew more errors are discovered. Well, I haven't had that issue now for a while for the first three books. Hopefully that means they're in good shape now.

At some point in time, I hope to do professorial editing, but only if it's affordable. I just don't see how any normal indie author has 10 to 20k laying around for such an expense. If you want to assist, that would be greatly appreciated, but until I become more successful, it will be more of the same, at least to a point.

Now, that's not saying the books aren't going out cleaner. Eric and Chela are cleaning up book 5 big time and Steven is helping on the tweaks for things I miss on the story side along with them. Book 5 will come out in the best ever format. A humongous change from the first four books.

On the flip side, I would ask that you delete your local cached copy of the story and re-download the book before reading them again. I really do believe the story is in very good condition ... at least books 1, 2 & 3. Book 4, yeah ... it still needs some loving. If you have recently downloaded the stories, then you have the current best copy. It does typically improve monthly.

Anyway, I'm glad you like the stories and I will continue to do better at this. Thank you for being patient with my lack of editing skills, but every book slowly gets better and better.
