BOOK 4 SHOULD BE SHOWING UP ON AMAZON ANYTIME!

UPDATE: Book 4 is here: https://www.amazon.com/Helping-Friend-World-Book-4-ebook/dp/B07NBX4ZBS/ref=sr_1_12?ie=UTF8&qid=1549095027&sr=8-12&keywords=jason+cheek
Amazon for some reason didn't attach it to my author's page. I've sent an email in but will contact them as soon as they are open. This is the usual Amazon fun whenever I publish.

So, the ebook has been uploaded for book four, but Amazon says anywhere between now and 72 hours and it will be available for download.

The paper book is a whole nother story that I'm working to get uploaded now. I'm having a slight issue with the cover that I have to work through to get everything uploaded. Basically it is too big and the template is freaking out.

So last night I was going through all of the corrections Eric sent me and dozed off a few times in the process since it was after midnight. I think I fell asleep around 2 AM and then said, "Alrighty then, I guess I really need to just call it and hit the sack." I started off bright and early at 6 AM and got ended up having to go through about a 120 pages of corrections because I found a mistake where I dozed off and just pasted over a paragraph. Yeah, that sucked. I didn't see anything that stood out on my second look at those last 120 pages so hopefully it's alright.

It comes out to 769 pages on the paper book template, albeit 20 of those are Character sheets, Startum's gear, character lists for everyone in the story (there are a lot of people) and the glossary. Otherwise the story itself is about 749 (minus the map and authors note). I did go ahead an address some questions that have come up about AI fair treatment, Armor and Startum's perchance for looking at beautiful women.

Please understand, Startum is a guy in his early twenties. He likes women, he finds them beautiful and he enjoys seeing that beauty. There is nothing wrong with finding someone desirable, pretty or sexy. In my experience, women do this the same as men. Enjoying beauty is not judging the worth of a person or their capability. How you treat those people though is important. In Startum’s case, you have a first row seat to his every thought.

The one great thing about video games is that there are no differences between the sexes, age or races. Men and woman are absolutely equal on all levels. It is your choice of starts, your choice of class, how you distribute your stats and how you treat others in the game that is important.

Anyway, so while there are thank yous to those that have put in time helping to send me corrections in the 'A note from the author.' There are a couple thoughts on issues that have been brought up in some reviews that I wanted to address.

Anyway, I couldn't be more thrilled to have gotten the book out. I've been pushing myself to get the book out as quickly as I could while doing my best to keep the story something that I can be proud of and hopefully everyone likes. The World is a violent place with some pretty terrifying monsters.

A couple other thoughts is that anyone who has a Nightmare start will be dogged continuously by the game. The game will continually give Nightmare players harder monsters and situations then other players will face. Startum though is used to being hammered inside games and through a means of strategy, tactics and treating the NPCs he meets right, he finds innovate ways to get thought the many challenges he faces.

Anyway, while there is a lot of stuff I'd like to talk about in the story, I know I'm starting to ramble since it's once again past 2 AM and I'm still trying to get this paper back book uploaded. So, I'm going to call the rambling for now. Looking forward to hearing from everyone.

I'm looking forward to it. I still try to talk up your series in the litrpg Facebook groups despite all the nonsense surrounding the books. I'm convinced that most of the folks who have negative things to say have probably not even read the book to themselves.

Hey Daniel, thanks for the good word. Just be careful my friend. That group of guys were extremely nasty to anyone on the LitRPG group that said anything against their media campaign. It took a week for the admins to finally stop the hate. The LitRPGPodcast guy got a lot of grief once people realized the guy was smashing anyone that wasn't his friend for the most part, so there is a lot of animosity that I stood up to them.

You're absolutely correct about the point most folks that follow those guys just spam the hate instead of looking at the issue themselves. I can't even tell you how many people hated me, then decided to read the story themselves, apologized to me for hating me unjustly and then were pissed off at the guys who lied about my series.

It's crazy. Especially when you thought it was one thing and then find out all of their drama is all lies. These guys are just a group of writers doing their best to keep Indy Writers from challenging them. Pretty sad in my book and as a reader it makes me angry because I want better and more LitRPG titles out to read.

Anyway, once you read book 4 please let me know what you think and take the time to review it on Amazon. It's the only thing that will keep me safe from those jackals :)

WOOT, just got the printed book accepted!

Hey Jason, maybe I missed it in some of the other posts or something but I can’t seem to find the name of the 4th book. Any chance you could update your books page to reflect the new book? Can’t wait for amazon to have the book up and running!!

Yea, Amazon did it's magic again, I publish under my one account and they somehow don't attach my book to my author page. It's here https://www.amazon.com/Helping-Friend-World-Book-4-ebook/dp/B07NBX4ZBS/ref=sr_1_12?ie=UTF8&qid=1549095027&sr=8-12&keywords=jason+cheek

Soon as Amazon open's, I'll get them to do the update. Of course that will take 4 to 72 hours.

Jason, enjoyed the books and the first audio book (although the narrators pronunciation of some gaming terms cracked me up;) Just wondering about the audio books for the next books in the series. They show up on Audible but they got to a broken link page. Are they out yet?

Hey Berry, thanks for letting me know you liked the series. The next book should be coming out mid February I think. It takes around 8 weeks minimum per book so unfortunately it's not fast. I talked to him about the PKer thing and the MMORG renunciation is how I say MORGs. If there is some other stuff drop me an email with a recording plz at jasonacheek@gmail.com That way we can get it right heh.

I just threw up some old LAN pics on Facebook if your interested. Also, please leave a review. I have a bunch of established writers who hate it that people are reading my series, so all the love I can get helps. Especially on book one. https://www.amazon.com/First-Login-World-Book-1-ebook/dp/B07H35XRLZ/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1549513396&sr=8-5&keywords=Jason+Cheek

Dear Jason,

I am new to the genre but I have really enjoyed your series. For one it scratches my WOW itch (that I don’t have time for, who would have thought that you can cheer for a literary loot roll?) but I really think you are on to something by also exploring the outside the game dynamics, the future role of AI/human interaction and how the line of humanity/cruelty will be more striking as games become more immersive and AI more intelllegent. I think its a cool move that PVP (fricking gankers) has become a game of risk already in the World and that our world is being reflected on the virtual one... I guess the question remains... how much as the game environment and its programmers counted on this happening and who is guiding who. Ill post a review when I catch a moment in the near future. Good stuff!

Hey David, thanks for checking in. I know what you mean about the WOW itch. Writing it is helping through my lack of a freaking good game to play while I wait for FIVR to come out ;)

The funny part was that I wrote the whole channel being blocked by his Syndicate haters a week or two before my book was pulled for four days by Luke claiming that my book was simply a copy of his book. I had my two beta reader friends both calling me up asking if I'd written that before or after that happened when they first read the part. I haven't got that far yet in my mind. I have a whole interesting side story with how the game programmers keep an eye on some of the more interesting nightmare players that I'm going to work into the story. I have a lot of avenues I could take off on. FIVR is scary in how it could influence the mind if someone was not so nice or honorable. But I literally have so much story to write that it's hard to fit all of the ideas in. Here's one for you though, the whole map of where they're playing is basically the beginning area O.o

The review helps and thank you in advance. If you could give some love to book one especially that would be great. The last eight times my book rose above 4.2 to 4.3 I've been knocked down by a slew of jealous writers. This is the first time. I think I'm on day three of 4.3 which is unbelievable in and of itself.

Later, Jason
