Description: Logging into The World, Startum Ironwolf and his friends barely flee Palnisdale ahead of the Northern Invaders. Their only chance to survive is to somehow stay ahead of the Orcish horde long enough to reach the ships waiting for them in Darom. An all but impossible task with the port city being nearly a two-day run away. Somehow, Startum must come up with a way to do the impossible or lose everything.

As of now, all of the information hasn't been synced properly between the paperback book and the eBook. That usually takes another 72 hours and a number of complaint emails to Amazon to get everything linked up properly. The novel has 808 pages and is the second-longest book in the series. (Yeah, getting a smaller book out quickly after the heart attack didn't quite work out the way I initially thought it would.) I hope you enjoy the story. Please remember to leave a positive review if you enjoy the book. It always helps the series and me across the board.
I look forward to hearing everyone's thoughts on the story.

On a side note:
In the future, I might try putting out smaller books due to how the economics of Amazon/Audible and how their sales work. I'm still trying to figure out how to make sure everyone gets the story that they want while the remuneration for me is equal to the size of the work being produced. So, there might be some books coming out listing Part 1 and Part 2 going forward.

Glad to see it ! Currently kindle shows 500~600 pages of content on my phone. Can't wait to read it !
Well done and please keep up this great universe along its even greater characters :)
From a french fan who already can't wait to have the following volume. x)

PS: it's not a problem to have shorter volumes if they come out in shorter time frame. The books of Stuart Grosse come to my mind immediatly in this kind of format though I think they are way too short on the opposite maybe an inbetween could work well.

Hey François,

Glad to hear you're enjoying the world I've created =D France reminds me of home in a lot of ways when we visited the South of France. It's a beautiful country and I loved the beaches.

I just wish that it didn't take Amazon so long to synchronize the actual pages from the paperback book to the eBook. It's actually 808 pages long and shows up right on the paperback version. Amazon eBook has an odd way of counting. I usually have to request that they synchronize the page count with the eBook to solve the problem. It's actually the second longest book in the series.

Hi, Jason.

Are you planning a volume 9 in the World Series?, and thank you for the wonderful 1-8 books in the series, these are the best books I have ever read.

hey jason

just wanna say love the series its been one of my favorites for the genre i have found.
love to books keep up the great work i just wanna say for future reference it makes me sad to see how little we are getting from the main storyline i know your just showing other stuff that happens when star isnt around but still whenever i read this series i just wanna see star and what happens in the main storyline and and im not really interested in what happens to all the characters we havent met yet i just feel you could just make a short mini series thats just a bunch of short stories showing what happens when star isnt around.

anyway thats all i want to say keep up the great work man love the series

Hey Alex,

The main storyline will be taking off soon. Well, partly, Star sill has to get his people to Darom. Things will start to pick up after that. Once the Hobgoblin battle is complete, we'll really see the story pick up some steam, I think =D At the same time, I want to explore the complexity of the world as much as possible. Hopefully, I'll be able to keep the balance up.

Mainly, when Star is doing 10 hours of falling back and fighting the same type of battle over and over, I don't see that being very interesting to follow, which is why I've chosen to show what's going on everywhere else within the world that is relevant to the story.. When Star is busy doing new and interesting things, than we won't be seeing much of what's going on anywhere else. I hope that will keep the balance nicely.

Glad to hear you're loving the story so far and thank you for the support.

Hey Nicholas,

God, I love me some Star Force. I was so disappointed not having my monthly fix, but excited, at the same time, for having a full novel that really went into the story. Otherwise, I read the updates in a few hours and have to wait a month for the next one.

That man is a personal hero of mine and was who gave me the idea of doing a massive series like The World. Besides, it's one of the few writers that gets books out quicker than I do and that I enjoy reading so much.

Thanks for enjoying The World series. I can't tell you just how much that means to me. I also greatly appreciate the support.

Jason, I’ve really enjoyed the series and find Indie Authors refreshing. Having played WOW for years (and been PKed a few times), I can related to the storyline. We used to set up LAN parties for my kids and their friends in the basement. Though I am only half way through the series, it’s been fun and I love long books. Since this is one massive MMO on a single servers run by and participated in by an AI, and since AI’s can modify themselves and hence will have self preservation, some really interesting twists could be done as they can learn really fast.

Author trolling and harassment is not acceptable, hence I skip those reviews and have discover many great stories and writers in turn. Too bad you can’t PK then camp them out. Thanks again for the stories

Hey Fred,

I appreciate the kind words and hearing that you're loving the series. Send me an invite at https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100007596607095 and check out the pictures to see the old LAN party pics in the albums. We usually had 16 to 30 people at the house. Did the networking and drops myself. I'd run a battlefield 1942 dedicated server and script in jeeps with machine guns and other cool things.

I have lots of adventures planned and book 8 just starts introducing the first mounts =D I'm doing my best to go slow and have lots of fun and cool magic-tech.

The trolling is unfortunately a thing. Jealous authors that do not want any competition that might force them to write better stores =D Sadly, there's not a lot that can be done except for offering good reviews and supporting the series. In my author notes, I always tell readers of the genre to support the authors that they love. In that way, you'll stop these bad actors from being "gatekeepers" for the genre and keep the good stories flowing from new authors. Unsurprisingly, there is a lot of crossover from inside the series that reflect events of the real world ;)

Take it easy,

Jason

Hey Jason
Love this series, it's a wonderful story of my MMORPG dreams. I only have one real question to ask, the admins seem to be unrealistically biased against the main party while absolutely forgiving of the chaos alliance. There has to be more to the story than them just being pricks I hope haha right? Hoping to see how that evolves to show the reasons behind the actions soon. I do know Julie has admins in her pocket but it just seemed over the top for the 2 day ban with no notified warnings to all players that admins were off limits, opens up thought that anyone can claim to be an admin to force groups into doing what they want without reading being attacked.

Otherwise this series has me anxiously awaiting the next book. Is there any estimate to when that may be???

Hey Chad,

Thank you for letting me know how much you're enjoying the series. It's a good question about the admin. I think the real problem with Rani is that, like with most people, they like to see the guy at the top of the hill get knocked off their perch. It's a common thing when you play super good and are at the top or near the top. A lot of people want to see you fail. On top of that, Star doesn't take any shit nor does he kowtow to her position. It frustrates the hell out of her and this is not part of the Admin getting a check for helping Julie out. It is a different phenoxenium. Not to worry though, sometimes people overreach their own authority and get smacked down for not doing their job and being a neutral authority. I've seen this happen in games with some admins before and it reflects what has happened to me in the past.

The idea of getting banned for killing an Admin is taken from Eve Online. I'm borrowing the general idea of how they banned players in the past for attacking admins since they have no more additional powers than that of a player. It's a good idea that people could act like they're an admin and I might use that idea in the future for a sub-plot line =D

Ugh, I lose a month on every book release due to corrections and taking a mental break to reset for the story. Then, I lost a portion of this month due to heading back to Florida on vacation. I haven't been back home since mid 2019. I'm hoping to get the book out in four months. That's going to be rough for a few reasons due to changes with my job with the DoD and the complexity of the story. Book 9 is going to be insane storywise =D

You can get more information from my FB page https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100007596607095 or see sneak peeks for book 9 on my Patreon page here https://www.patreon.com/user?u=23281087&fan_landing=true

I'll do my best to meet my personal deadline of six months but it's going to be tight =D

Let me start by saying I love listening to the books. I wish something like this was real. I’m a disabled Veteran and to think that something like this would help me escape my demons. I’m also a big gamer. I have read some bad reviews from some people and to be honest there jackases that have no imagination and are a bunch of prude’s. So keep the books coming and I’ll keep listening and reading them. I’m also happy to see you a Cav Scout in the Books. I’ll let you guess what I did in the Army lol. I can’t wait for book 9. On a side note I hope Lord Ironwolf has things work out for him better a few times instead of always getting a swift kick to the balls. But as all military members I believe its all fun and games till someone gets hurt then its hilarious.

Hey Chris,

Well, I just might need a Cav Scout. Many of the Devil Dogs are vets. Shoot me an email at jasonacheek@gmail.com and if you want, a FB invite here https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100007596607095 Conner and Forrest could use another teammate since the fuckers lost their BAMF =D

Glad to hear you're enjoying the series and, for the most part, I don't worry about the cry babies. They're mostly other authors trying to cancel me and I've learned to ignore them for the most part. Any good reviews on the series helps to fight them and is greatly appreciated.

I have some awesome stuff planned for book 9 hahahaha I can't wait to write it all. I wish there was something like The World in real life. I'd be so addicted.

Mh….You are not the guy who is trolling the people with junk mails, aren’t you!?
Anyways dropping in - thanks for giving me some insights in how audible and the business functions. (I could do a nightmarish muh ha ha like the final boss but I leave it - not kind of Person I am).
Anyways seams to be a rollercoaster game for you boys/girls - congrats!
What I don’t understand anyways why you let yourself bitch around from those audible-Trolls! It’s managing a guild after all!
Why don’t you set up your own site to sell directly to your customers. You want to write a 100 books so it could be worth crunching the numbers in case you want expand and accept some effort.
So mister smart ass (talking to me me here) it’s probably about the law which hinders them from doing so or you have the thing already but not without good ranks in google.
It’s all about the numbers…
Anyways it’s pleasure to listen! Keep on with the good work!
