The current map of the world

12/7/2018

I finally got around to finally doing a map for The World. This is currently where everyone has first logged in, but as the weeks go by new areas will be being opened up until the entire world is released.

For now, I thought this was a good visual for the storyline and gives everyone an idea of where everyone is currently playing at. I'll be uploading the map in all of the books.

I just updated it to reflect the newest changes released in The World.

If you are looking for another beta reader I willingly volunteer. I read constantly and can get through 300 pages in a day. I have recommended your books and caught blow back from authors and readers in a couple of books. I do notice you are definitely influenced by multiple modern authors, but I also see your own spin on those styles. Thank you for producing very entertaining content.

Hey Kenneth, thanks for the good word. I'm glad you like the series. It's hard to not have some crossover concepts in LitRPG, especially when there are only so many ways to start a gaming book. Kind of like writing a romance novel, most of LitRPG genre has a lot of similarities, it's how you build your character, world and stores that makes you stand out from the crowd.

Unfortunately, there is a group of authors that have infected the community. Many of them were kicked out of the LitRPG but they still run rampant in many of the smaller groups. They go around bashing new writers coming into the genre while promoting their friends. If you stand up to their abuse and call them out about it, then they mark you and try to put you down hard.

These guys never point the mirror back at their own stories to judge them and their friends with the same sledge hammer they use on everyone else. That's because it's not about the truth but simply about money and not wanting competition. You'd swear listening to these guys that they WERE the father of LitRPG instead of being Johnny come lately to the scene.

From my own experience and other fans, you're not allowed to disagree. If you say anything, they jump on you like a pack of jackals to rip you apart, which is in and of itself disturbing to me.

Most of the LitRPG readers are intelligent enough to not just take their work as the gospel. Otherwise, these guys unfounded accusations would have finished me off at the end of 2018. Instead, a large part of the LitRPG community came and checked out the truth of the accusations for themselves and discovered that the lies these guy were selling were not true. Most of what is being said from these guys are blatant lies. Todd, a new fan that discovered the truth of this for himself, I thought said it excellent in his review on book one here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-reviews/R237NI9QNAEQH0/ref=cm_cr_getr_d_rvw_ttl?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B07H35XRLZ

The truth will slowly come out. It always does. Sometimes fast, sometimes slowly, but these haters and trolls will discover their fan base slowly starting to question what they're really up to. I appreciate that you stuck up for me but at the same time, feel bad that you were bashed online from these guys too. Making yourself one of their targets isn't needed or wanted. Honestly, I have no idea how to get the truth out without people getting pummeled. These guys are nasty bullies and have no honor. They're like a real world Syndicate in our community and I'll fight them just like I do in my stories.

Best way to fight their hate is leaving good reviews. That works probably better than any direct confrontation. They can't drown those reviews out with their hate and it keeps the authors they're attacking like me with our stars intact and getting more fans. Trust me when I say, that pisses them off and defeats them like nothing else.

I was beta in Anarchy onlineand played to 08. Took a NT from level 0 to 220 solo.
Omni guild named the Sentinals.

I love the fact you brought that game into your books.

Hey Ravanous,

Thanks for the post. Wow, soloing with an NT, that's some skill. I know Domenic used to do a root/Mez run, where he'd root/mez everyone in the mission to run it like a fixer to get the loot. It took him some time to learn to play the class right though, but after enough emergency evacs he finally got it down.

That part of book 1 was really was a shout out to AO and was a reflection of our guilds move from AO to WOW. The move was cool because we were able to get in on the ground floor of leveling up and making our place on the server, instead of coming into a game were there were already established groups maxed out owning everything.

You know, I remember the guild name Sentinals from my time playing. Our tiny guild was The Omni Golf and Country Club. A joke against the seriousness that people took playing the game and KS each other on the server. We were good players with a relaxed attitude.

PS: If you get a chance, please leave a good review on Amazon. It helps a lot with the Indy Author Killing guild that likes to hammer new authors in the LitRPG genre.

Love the reference to Anarchy Online. My first MMO and played from just a short time after it's release. With bugs galore and lag like nothing else.

First Guild was OTAC (anyone remember Cpt Fallout?) then 8 of us broke out and formed Band of Brothers ((Devilhands, Angeleyes, Laserstar, Kendric, Fazar, Mistydee, Bigfoo
Smallfoe). I played MA which turned into a more or less unplayable class at one time and switched to NT with the expensions (and hated every level). Came back years later playing a fixer which suited me much better (and a crat since I work as one!!).

So thank you for the nostalgia, including the grief some larger Guilds and players did haha!

Just started to read the first book but I already feel quite sure it will be one I go thru the whole series of. And I will write a Review on Amazon when done!

Hey Devilhands,

I'm glad you're liking the AO references. AO will always hold a place in my heart. I loved my Fixer, it was my first class to level up. I tried an NT, but god did they suck at the time. Crats were hard to play, so that's off to you there. I did a trader once, but they're hard to play too. I joined on the Nodum Wars expansion. I think the MP was gimped due to how we were using them. That whole scenario in book 1 went down IRL. I had almost one of every class for my crafting though (two since I duel boxed).

Hope you enjoy the series and look forward to hearing what you think. Please leave a review on Amazon. It helps us indie authors a lot.
